Assassin's Creed Shadows Set For February Launch With No More Delays, Confirms Ubisoft

Ubisoft has assured fans that Assassin’s Creed Shadows, initially slated for release this year and later postponed to mid-February, will not face any further delays.

Ubisoft CFO Frédérick Duguet emphasized that Assassin’s Creed Shadows is on track for its February launch. Duguet said (thanks VGC):

As we mentioned a month ago, AC Shadows was feature complete, so it was close to being launched. We wanted to make sure that the delivery of the experience is impeccable on day one, so that was the purpose of the decision. So we have a good visibility for the game to be delivered with a great experience by mid-February, and with great quality.

This delay has come with a significant investment, with Ubisoft allocating $21.7 million for additional development time to ensure the open-world action RPG meets quality expectations. With the game feature-complete and in the final stages of refinement, Ubisoft is determined to avoid further postponements, ensuring fans a polished experience in February.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows is scheduled to release for PlayStation 5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S on February 14, 2025.
