Fate/strange Fake World Premiere Announced

By Josh PiedraSeptember 19, 2024

During the Aniplex Online Fest 2024, Aniplex announced the Fate/strange Fake World Premiere in L.A., set to take place this November in  Hollywood as part of the Fate 20th Anniversary Showcase hosted by Aniplex of America.  Additional plans to air a new episode at the end of the year were also announced.

Fate

The announcement also unveiled character visual volumes 1 and 2, which feature Tiné and Archer in volume 1 and Silver Wolf and Lancer in volume 2. Both character visuals were drawn by character designer and chief animation director Yukei Yamada. Comments from the voice cast celebrating the unveiling accompany the illustrations.

Some of the cast members made some comments on the show’s announcement:

Cast Comments

Sumire Morohoshi (voice of Tiné Chelc)

This is Sumire Morohoshi, voice of Tiné Chelc. The sheer scale of the story in Episode 0 alone  left me reeling and very much looking forward to seeing how the TV series unfolds! I’ll do my  best to convey all of Tiné’s charms. Thank you.

Tomokazu Seki (voice of Archer)

I’m delighted to say that I’ve spent quite a long time with Archer. Because of that, I’ve grown  comfortable with this character, so I think the recording process was very smooth this time. He  tends to appear in high places, but where and how will he show up this time? Keep your eyes  peeled!

Yu Kobayashi (voice of Lancer)

Hello, everyone. My name is Yu Kobayashi, and I play the role of Lancer in Fate/strange Fake.  I’m so grateful for your continued support of this series, and I’m deeply touched to be a part of  bringing Lancer to life in the world of Fate/strange Fake. I love this character, and I’ll take great  care in their performance. I hope you enjoy the series once it arrives. Thank you all so much.

Introducing the Characters

Tiné Chelc

Voice: Sumire Morohoshi

Master of Archer. Tiné is the chief of an old indigenous tribe in Snowfield. She seeks the Holy  Grail in order to retake the land stolen from her people by the United States.

Archer

Voice: Tomokazu Seki

An Archer summoned to the Holy Grail War. A haughty tyrant, Archer sheds his habitual  arrogance when his friend Lancer is summoned and so enters the war enthusiastically

Silver Wolf Chimera

Master of Lancer. This wolf is a chimera prepared by a mage as a Heroic Spirit summoning  catalyst but ended up receiving the Command Spells and becoming Lancer’s Master instead.

Lancer

Voice: Yu Kobayashi

A Lancer summoned to the Holy Grail War. Lancer does not aggressively engage in the war.  Instead, they have chosen to reshape the forest into a Bounded Field around their Master while  keeping a watchful eye on the Holy Grail War and their best friend, Archer.

Fate/strange Fake is described as follows by Aniplex:

Fate/strange Fake, written by Ryohgo Narita and published by Dengeki Bunko beginning in 2015, presents a new battle over the Holy Grail, coming soon as an animated TV series. For the  first time ever, witness as a Holy Grail War rages in the United States. Gape as an abundance  of Masters and Servants are embroiled in a mad saga of furious struggle.

The animation will be brought to life by A-1 Pictures, who also animated Fate/Apocrypha in  2017. Taking the directorial reins are Shun Enokido and Takahito Sakazume, who have  produced animated trailers for the mobile game Fate/Grand Order and the novel version of

Fate/strange Fake. With their contemporary touch, Enokido and Sakazume are sure to delight  Fate fans with their dynamic and expressive animation.

This is the dawn of a brand-new conflict, and a Holy Grail War covered in lies.
