EA Sports FC 25 Deep Dive Round-Up

By Jordan AndowSeptember 4, 2024

We are just a few short weeks away from EA Sports FC 25, which releases on September 27th 2024, with seven days early access beginning on September 20th for people who pre-order the Ultimate Edition. Over the last month or so, while you’ve likely been on vacation, EA has been releasing a series of deep dives on the EA Sports FC Youtube channel. Below you will find links to each deep dive with a small summary on each episode to get you to the details you want more easily.

First up we have the gameplay deep dive in which the team discuss the following:

  • FC IQ – An overhaul of tactical foundations across the game delivers greater strategic control and more realistic collective movement at the team level, while a new AI model, powered by real-world data, influences player tactics through all-new Player Roles.
  • Player Roles – More than 50 new Player Roles will guide the way every player thinks and behaves on the pitch, resulting in more authentic tactical intelligence and movement off the ball.
  • Smart Tactics – New real-time suggestions and D-Pad functionalities make in-game tactical decision-making more accessible and intuitive than ever, and new broadcast features allow you to better experience the changes as they take effect.
  • Goalkeeper Playstyles – A new level of depth to the goalkeeper’s role, affecting how they react to different situations on the pitch. This technology allows for our AI to better mimic real-life player behaviour, making each match feel fresh and unique.

In the second episode, we get a focused look at the brand new 5v5 Rush gameplay mode and how it integrates across the whole of EA Sports FC 25.

Third up we got a look at Ultimate Team as the team discussed the following:

  • Expanded Evolutions
  • Community Requested Updates
  • A New Ultimate Team Stadium and More

Finally, we come to the Career Mode deep dive, my personal favourite mode from EA’s football/soccer games. As the team discusses changes to both manager and player career modes such as:

  • Live Start Points – Allowing you to start from various points in a clubs real world season.
  • Updated Press Conferences – You should be asked more relevant questions by press both before and after matches.
  • New Simulation Settings – These settings if turned on should result in teams playing in a much more true to life fashion. Adding a level of realism to gameplay not seen before.
  • Icons In Player Career – That’s right you can take any of the games icons such as David Beckham and take charge of their career in any modern team you’d like.
  • And More

Pre-Order EA SPORTS FC 25 now for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch.

HYPERMOTIONV TECHNOLOGY ONLY AVAILABLE ON PLAYSTATION 5, XBOX SERIES X|S AND PC VERSIONS.*

Jordan has been playing games since the age of six. This ignited a passion which initially led him towards game development before trying his hand in the realm of games media, starting in 2022. It turns out he's quite good at it, even if he doesn't always believe in himself. Now, just a few short years later, not only is Jordan a valued member of our staff here at The Outerhaven, but he also co-owns and helps to run Analog Stick Gaming.
