Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO New Buu Saga Trailer

Bandai Namco has finally unveiled the newest character trailer for Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO. This one follows the trend of the last few trailers that have housed characters from specific sagas.

We have officially ended the Dragon Ball Z Sagas regarding the trailers for Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO have shown. That means the new character trailers will go into the saga of Dragon Ball Super or a new format entirely. One thing I found interesting to note is we have the outfit of Gohan when he goes to fight Majin Buu in the game. Also, Babidi seems to be retaining the moveset he had in Budokai Tenkaichi 3 which mainly consists of him summoning allies to do attacks for him. He summons Pui Pui as a super move.

The voice lines in this trailer are a lot more consistent with the voice dub of Dragon Ball Kai. With a few added lines that were not in the series but implied. Vegeta getting angry at Majin Buu for the “Confirmed” death of Gohan was one of the lines that was not in the series. Still, in the series, Vegeta does apologize for arriving to Majin Buu too late to save Gohan.

One thing I want to note is that this model of Goku Super Saiyan 3 looks a lot more polished than the other models for the form we have gotten previously. The yellow is a heavier shade than the other Super Saiyan forms, and the neck and shoulder muscles are bulkier than the previous Goku models we have seen before this trailer. They are ramping up the designs and each trailer proceeds to look better and better.

Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO releases October 11th, 2024 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S|X, and PC. Be sure to read our preview of the game.
