25 Minutes Of Mandragora Demo Gameplay

By Keith MitchellSeptember 30, 2024

Mandragora is an upcoming 2.5D Soulslike Metroidvania title that’s being developed by Primal Game Studio and currently has a demo that’s available to download on Steam.

While the words Soulslike and Metroidvania are constantly being thrown around, after getting some actual hands-on, I can agree that Mandragora is exactly what it’s being called and that Primal Game Studio is on to something. The demo was fun, I enjoyed the gameplay and overall presentation. Yeah, there’s some Soulslike in there, though I thoroughly enjoyed it, and I can’t wait to play more of Mandragora. However, the game has missed its initial release window and no update has been given.

Mankind has surrendered the world to the monsters. The people of Faelduum hide away
behind walls of brick and palisades of ignorance, constructed by their leaders. Journey through a world in decline, slowly falling prey to the damaging effects of Entropy. Fight
vicious creatures, challenge nightmarish bosses, meet new allies, enemies, and every shade in between, and make harsh moral choices.

Once Mandragora is released it will be playable on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S/X, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam and Epic Games Store).
