The Nintendo Switch Has Almost 70 Million-Seller Titles

By Todd BlackAugust 4, 2024
Nintendo Switch Successor

We’ve waxed poetic about the Nintendo Switch many times over on both The Outerhaven and the Nintendo Entertainment Podcast, and for good reason. It’s THE best console out there right now, and has been for basically its entire life. Sure, there are systems with better graphics out there, but when it comes to the gaming lineup? No, the Switch is the best around, and we can prove it in many ways.

Case in point, during the last financial data briefing, it was noted that, following the success of Paper Mario TTYD and Luigi’s Mansion 2 having their remaster/remakes come to the console, the Nintendo Switch has a total of 69 million-seller titles:

There’s one more thing to note here, and that’s that the number of total million-sellers WILL go up by the end of the year! First, they have Legend of Zelda Echoes of Wisdom coming out next month, and then there’s Mario Party Jamboree, with Mario & Luigi Brothership coming in November! 2025 will have Pokemon Legends Z-A and Metroid Prime 4, so the sales are going to continue, and Nintendo’s dominance will rise even further.

Oh, and if you were curious? Yes, that is the most for a single system in history, especially for 1st party games.
