When Nintendo announced Super Mario Party Jamboree at the June Nintendo Direct, they made it clear that this was going to be the biggest game the franchise had ever seen. They enforced that by revealing a mode that would have up to 20 people playing at the same time! That means there needs to be at least 20 characters for people to play with in the mini-games and boards!
