Space Marine 2 PC Requirements Announced – Is Your PC Ready?

By Keith MitchellAugust 6, 2024
Warhammer 40,000_ Space Marine 2 - Official PvE Co-Op Mode Gameplay Reveal Trailer

Fans of the Warhammer 40,000 universe have something to look forward to as the much-anticipated Space Marine 2 is set to release on September 9, 2024. As such, Focus Entertainment has released the PC requirements and thankfully they are very tame. Fans who have yet to upgrade their CPUs or GPUs will see that they’re still able to play the game and recommended requirements. Given how damned good the game looks from the trailers, there must be some magic that’s being worked.

Focus Entertainment has yet to reveal the specs required to play the game at 144p or 4K, though I suspect those will be shown close to the game’s launch, which is important because I have questions. Will the game support ultrawide monitors? Will it have an uncapped framerate? Will Nvidia’s DLSS/DLAA, AMD’s FSR 2 or 3, or Intel’s XeSS also be supported?

Check out the Space Marine 2 minimum and recommended PC requirements below, as you count down the days until the game is in your hands.

Space Marine 2 PC Requirements

Minimum PC Requirements

Performance: 1080p 30 FPS at Low Preset
OS: Windows 10 / 11
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600X / Intel Core i5-8600K
RAM: 8 GB
GPU: AMD RX 580 (6 GB), Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 (6 GB)
DirectX: 12
Storage: 75 GB SSD

For a more optimal experience at higher settings, the recommended requirements are:

Recommended PC Requirements

Performance: 1080P 60 FPS at Ultra Preset
OS: Windows 10 / 11
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X / Intel Core i7-12700
RAM: 16 GB
GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT (8 GB), Nvidia  GeForce RTX 3070 (8 GB)
DirectX: 12
Storage: 75 GB SSD

I can’t speak for you, but I’ve been waiting for Space Marine 2 ever since THQ, the original THQ, announced sequel and then went into bankrupty. I need this. I really need this game in my life.

Space Marine 2 releases on September 9, 2024, for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
