By Josh PiedraAugust 23, 2024

It was announced that Masakuni Igarashi’s Mattaku Saikin no Tantei Tokitara manga has received a television anime adaptation. The anime is scheduled to air at some point in 2025.

The manga’s story is described as follows:

The story of Mattaku Saikin no Tantei Tokitara follows Keiichiro Nagumo, a formerly brilliant detective who as a teenager never met a case he couldn’t solve. Nowadays, though, Keiichiro is a washed-up and broken-down old guy who hasn’t kept up with the times. One day, a high school girl named Mashiro shows up at the Nagumo Detective Agency and insists that she wants to be a detective and demands to be Keiichiro’s assistant, so the two of them become unlikely partners…
