Is Indiana Jones and the Great Circle Headed to PS5?

Actually, the questions is when not if, Doctor Jones.

With Gamescom 2024 taking place in less than a day, a big rumor surrounding an Xbox title, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, has been making the rounds.  Recently, a credible leaker known as NateTheHate has stated that the title will be released this Holiday 2024 season for the Xbox and PC, a timed console exclusive for six months. Afterward, the game will be made available for the PlayStation 5 in the first half of 2025.

With so many rumors flying in from every corner of the digital world, I tend not to follow them, much less report on them. However, I do follow trends and when a person has been right about a rumor on so many occasions, I tend to put some worth in what has been said.

This is also not completely new, as The Verge editor Tom Warren had also mentioned that this would be a possibility back in February 2024. I remember that well, as it was a topic of conversation around our Discord for a bit.  To be honest I didn’t completely believe that then, yet given that Xbox has been saying it was open to releasing more of its titles for other platforms, I’m inclined to believe this more.

Though, if this is legit, I do have to play devil’s advocate here. On one side, just six months for the Xbox version to do any kind of traction is way too short before you rip it and give it to everyone. This defeats the point of games being exclusive. Yet, been saying for years that I just want everyone to be able to play games, where they want. It’s just that Xbox has been doing things completely wrong if you ask me. The messaging is jacked, for lack of a better word.

Regardless, if NatTheHate or Tom Warren is correct, Xbox is ready to announce something big during Gamescom 2024 and we’ll be here to report and talk about it.

Gamescoms 2024 takes place from August 21st to 25th, 2024, with Geoff Keighley’s hosted Gamescom Opening Night Live taking place on August 20th, 2024, at 11 AM PDT / 2 PM EDT / 8 PM CEST.
