Star wars Outlaws Has Gone Gold

Coming soon to a console or PC near you!
By Keith MitchellJuly 3, 2024
Star Wars Outlaws

Ubisoft has reported that its open-world Star Wars title, Star Wars Outlaws has just gone gold. Going Gold means the game is done, and being sent to be pressed onto discs and getting sent to various digital storefronts. With this, it’s just a matter of time before the game is in everyone’s hands.

Pre-orders for the game have also started for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. For those looking to play the game on PC, keep in mind that Star Wars Outlaws will not be available on Steam nor on the Epic Games Store, and is only available via Ubisoft’s digital storefront, Ubisoft Connect. Players can also subscribe to Ubisoft+, Ubisoft’s subscription service, which grants early access to Star Wars Outlaws on August 29, 2024.

In Star Wars Outlaws, the Empire is busy trying to put down the Rebellion, while the underworld full of thieves, scoundrels, and the like, are looking at this as a prime opportunity to make some credits. Kay Vess, the character we’ll be playing in the game and a skilled thief, and her companion, Nix, have crossed the wrong person, Sliro, the leader of a new, foreboding criminal syndicate Zerek Besh, while trying to make a name for herself and now he wants her removed from the board.

All isn’t lost as Kay and Nix are offered their one shot at freedom by pulling off one of the greatest heists of all time. But, to pull off the job, Kay and Nix must navigate the underworld across the galaxy, building their reputation with legendary criminal organizations.

All in all, we get to do the stuff that we haven’t been able to do in any Star Wars game and that’s exciting to me. How about you?

I’ve been looking forward to playing Star Wars Outlaws, and despite Ubisoft tripping up along the way, It will be interesting to see how the Star Wars and video game communities, take to this game. I’m hoping that the game pulls me, completely in and doesn’t let go until the very end.

Star Wars Outlaws releases on August 30th, for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Ubisoft Connect).
