Ale Abbey Announced At PC Gaming Show

By Scott AdamsJune 9, 2024

Revealed at PC Gaming Show today, publisher Shiro Unlimited (Decarnation, Dune: Spice Wars, Northgard, Wartales) partners with developer Hammer & Ravens (Empires in Ruins, Razerwire: Nanowars) to release Ale Abbey. The serene brewery tycoon arrives on PC via Steam Q4 2024.

Master the boozier side of commerce by helping a medieval monastery turn an honest and lucrative profit. Nurture the production and development of the best brews in the lands in a jovial pursuit of fortune and fame. Secure talented cicerones, strive for spiritual enlightenment, and moniscraft beer alongside an entertaining collection of characters!

The monastery is the hub of all operations.

Assign Brewmasters and Monks to brew a wide variety of delicious ale styles including lagers, pilsners, stouts, porters, and more. Unlock new ingredients and introduce different malts and hops to create more complex recipes.

Expand its capabilities by establishing key resources such as a library to craft pitcher perfect formulas and further research and development. Explore multiple upgrade paths and build more desks to hasten monks’ discovery process.

Venture into the outerworld to sell ale at the markets and give back to the community. Keep the local Lords hoppy, ensuring their market requests are met to secure protection and sustain the monastery’s success. Alternatively, gain fame by feeding the less fortunate and bridging bandits to secure the unobstructed trading of beer or raw materials.

“One of the brightest spots in middle age society, despite the plentiful hardships, was the beer-centric culture offered by monks,” said Emiliano Pastorelli, Game Director at Hammer & Ravens. “Historically, there were a lot of monasteries making and selling ale as a way to fund their establishments. Modern breweries have profited from those original advancements and techniques, and modern gamers can experience the glory of the past in the most entertaining fashion yet thanks to Ale Abbey!”

Ale Abbey is slated for release on PC via Steam in Q4 2024. For more information, please visit Hammer & Raven’s official website and follow the team on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.
