The Boys Gets Season 5 Order Ahead Of Season Premiere

By Todd BlackMay 14, 2024
The Boys Season 4

What’s there to say about The Boys that hasn’t been said already by many people? The show was initially perceived as “yet another superhero adaptation” and then morphed into one of the most insane and topical shows in TV history. Seriously, this show is nuts, and yet it absolutely reflects what’s going on in our world right now, which is why people are so drawn to it. Season 4 will start its run next month on Amazon Prime Video, but the streamer decided to deliver some news ahead of that by confirming Season 5 will happen!

This was confirmed by The Wrap, where showrunner Eric Kripke praised the series and all it’s allowed him to do:

“’The Boys’ could be the best job I’ll ever have. What other show allows me to write about politics, capitalism, family and exploding genitalia, though not in that order? The cast and crew are deeply grateful to Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios for the opportunity to tell this story for another season. My only problem is that since this year promises to be free of any conflict or misinformation, we’re not sure what to write about.”

…yeah, it’ll be a totally “pain-free” year that can’t be satirized at all. So Season 5 won’t be anything “reflective” of our world currently…we’re so doomed when it comes out.
