Akuma’s Street Fighter 6 Movelist Has Been Revealed

By Kevin KellyMay 13, 2024

With Akuma heading to Street Fighter 6, Capcom has revealed his novelist right on the heels of the May 22 release date.  Akuma’s normals are probably the newest set of bunch with two target combos. The interesting part for me is the sweeps being incorporated into combos post-Tatsu.

In addition to Akuma’s Character Guide being available, Youtuber Tyrant_UK was able to snag a peak at the upcoming command list with details as to how the moves are made in real-time with breakdown. The moves have yet to be available on the official site, which also provides frame data to much surprise. This is probably the most comprehensive to see from a publisher to give out this much information on their own fighting game. Tyrant does practically everything with every single move in Akuma’s arsenal.

Glass Cannon Toolkit Standouts

The standout would be the target combo – Kikoku Combination. Hopefully, we’ll get to see this one applied in a real match soon to see if there is a possible extender after the last hit. It’s similar to one of Ryu’s moves. His Drive Impact was also seen, with it being similiar to Ryu’s with a bit of a forward punch. As usual, Akuma’s kit scores two Critical Arts, which are his Raging Demon and Level 3, over the rest of the cast. Akuma still is considered the glass cannon with a low vitality count but tons of options. What he gets to make up for it is tools and strength. Even his forward HK is dangerous to combo off of.

Tyrant promised more Street Fighter 6 Akuma footage to shake a hori stick at in the next few days. Next month is the anniversary of the game’s release, so there could be a potential announcement to cover what will come next for the World Warriors in Season 2.

Here’s Akuma’s Street Figher 6 movelist in its entirety.
