Double Dragon’s Billy and Jimmy Lee to Join the River City Girls 2 Crew

If you recall, during the past April Fool’s Day, which is perhaps my most hated holiday, Wayforward revealed that it was releasing two joke characters to River City Girls 2; Bimmy and Jammy. Fans of Double Dragon noticed right away that these were actually parodies of Billy and Jimmy Lee from the Double Dragon series. Well, it turns out yet another April Fool’s Day joke has turned into an actual thing, as Wayforward has revealed that Billy and Jimmy Lee will be joining the River City Girls 2 roster.

No, I’m for real. No lie. I wouldn’t kid about this.

These legendary martial artists will be hitting the streets of River City, and both characters will be thoroughly integrated into River City Girls 2’s story mode, with full voice acting from returning voice actors Dan Avidan (Billy) and Arin Hanson (Jimmy) of the Game Grumps. I wonder if there will be some dialogue with the brothers and Marion, who has changed considerably since they last saw her.

The DLC also adds an epic new vocal song performed by Hanson and Avidan (with music by series composer Megan McDuffee), plus a new dojo master to stand in for Billy and Jimmy while they’re out bustin’ heads.

This upcoming DLC will be available on all platforms that River City Girls 2 is currently available on, including Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam). This is considered a premium DLC, so we’ll need to pay to erase our childhood memories and bust some heads on the street.

Now, if we could only get a new Double Dragon game… Oh, wait. We already did! Maybe while you’re waiting for this DLC to drop, you should go give Double Dragon Gaiden: The Rise of the Dragons a try. It’s an amazing rogue-like beat ’em up, and definitely worthy of the Double Dragon name, unlike some other games.

River City Girls 2 is currently available on the pS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam).
