Back in 2023, a little CRPG called Baldur’s Gate 3 captured the hearts of RPG fans everywhere for one reason or another and opened the eyes of people looking for more of the same. Enter Zoria: Age of Shattering, a high-fantasy tactical turn-based CRPG in which you control a team of four heroes with unique skills and perks.

We happened to get a taste of it during PAX West 2023 and loved it so much that we started counting down the days until the game would be released. We even talked about it in our Upcoming RPG Games of March 2024 video. But now, the full game is out, and we dive in to see if this game is not only a capable CRPG but one worth your time and hard-earned cash.

Game Name: Zoria: Age Of Shattering
Platform(s): PC
Developer(s): Tiny Trinket Games
Publisher(s): Anshar Publishing, Surefire.Games

Release Date: March 7, 2023

Review Disclosure Statement: A copy of Zoria Age of Shattering was provided to The Outerhaven for review purposes. For more information on how we review video games and other media/technology, please review our Review Guideline/Scoring Policy.

Summary

Zoria: Age of Shattering is an engaging CRPG that doesn’t reinvent the genre, but does improve on a number of systems, but could benefit from adding gamepad/controller support and perhaps some multiplayer coop.
