X-Men 97 Has Massive Opening On Disney+

By Todd BlackMarch 25, 2024
X-Men 97 Season 2

Nostalgia can absolutely be a double-edged sword. When it’s used properly, it can deliver experiences fans can’t help but enjoy for various reasons. If it’s used as a money grab, which has been apparent in Hollywood a LOT recently, it feels like a betrayal. When X-Men 97 was announced as a true sequel series to the beloved 90s cartoon, fans were hopeful, but skeptical about how much it would “capture what made the original show great.” Then, many of the voice cast were brought in, the trailers shows a classic yet updated visual style, and early reactions seemed to point to it being everything we wanted.

Sure enough, the first few episodes were straightfire! To that end, it’s been confirmed that within the first five days of its premiere episodes, X-Men 97 was viewed over 4 million times!

#XMen97 debuted on Disney plus with 4M complete views on its 5-day opening.

Now, one could easily say that this was because of the hype around it, and the episode views for the following episodes will be vital, but all indications point to this being one of the best “revivals” in television history. See? Nostalgia done PROPERLY leads to great things.
