Netflix’s Avatar The Last Airbender Adaptation Gets Seasons 2 & 3 Confirmed

By Todd BlackMarch 6, 2024
Avatar The Last Airbender

I was there when Avatar The Last Airbender first arrived on Nickelodeon. It took just the premiere to get me hooked, and it remains one of the biggest influences on my life. So when Netflix said they would do a new adaptation on the franchise via a live-action series…I was skeptical. As were many others. While I haven’t watched it myself, I have heard thoughts from others, and it’s very interesting to see the discourse between casual fans and OG fans. Regardless, Netflix was so impressed by the numbers of its premiere that it dropped this revelation:

Yep, Avatar The Last Airbender won’t just get a second season; it’s already getting a third! That’s likely a key movie for the team because the age of the actors means they’ll start growing rather quickly at times. Thus, they’ll want to film as much as possible quickly so they don’t have to worry about a “ten-year-old boy named Aang” looking like a fully grown man.

Many are happy about this renewal, and that includes the cast, who found out in a very unique way…
