Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree’s Reveal Trailer is Here, Release Date Set for June 2024

In that forsaken place, blood must spill

Elden Ring Shadow of the Edtree Official reveal 1000x563

The day has come, my fellow Elden Ring lovers. After being revealed in 2023, the expansion to Elden Ring, the 3-minute trailer for Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree has shown, and it is glorious. This trailer shows us yet again why Fromsoftware are the best at what they do.

Set for a June 21st, 2024, release on the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree takes fans of Elden Ring on another epic quest in a completely different world. It’s similar to how the DLC for Dark Souls 3 worked, inviting players forcibly into this new world of danger and lore.

During this quick look at the game, we get to see plenty, including this charming fellow called “Messmer the Impaler,” who I’m already calling the Malenia Blade of Miquella of this DLC game. Those who spent hours fighting Malenia will know exactly what I mean. That’s not all, as stuff that we’ve seen in the original game has shown up, including Miquella’s cocoon, which was stolen and guarded by Mohg, Lord of Blood, whom players had to defeat in the original game.

There’s a lot of new lore crammed into this 3-minute trailer, and I haven’t even begun to watch it enough to figure it all out. But trust me, I will.

Personally, I’ve always enjoyed the DLCs that Fromsoftware has pumped out, including The Ringed City, Crown of the Old Iron King, and Crown of the Sunken King. This DLC looks to be on a completely different level and looks to be the best DLC that the developer has ever released. Maybe it’s the hype, but that trailer definitely warrants it. Damn, does it ever.

Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree will be released on June 21, 2024, for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. I’ve already started to count down the days. There’s also an Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree Collector’s Edition that was revealed and is up for preorders, which we discussed in another article.

Fans of Elden Ring and Fromsoftware, are you not ready to take the plunge yet again? I know I sure am.
