Castlevania: Nocturne’s Latest Trailer is a Bloody Mess and I Love it

By Keith MitchellSeptember 7, 2023
Castlevania: Nocturne

Who’s fucking next, indeed?

Netflix isn’t pulling any punches when it comes to its animation series, which includes Castlevania: Nocturne, the follow-up to Netflix’s acclaimed Castlevania animated series. While Netflix dropped the release date of the upcoming show a few months ago, now they’ve released yet another trailer — just because they can. And honestly, if you weren’t already hot and bothered about Castlevania: Nocturne, you should be now.

This new trailer only shows that this show will be about action, some storytelling, and more action. While fans of the Castlevania game series should be ready to eat this up, it shows that Netflix has gone even further this time than before. Hell, did you hear that rendition of Divine Bloodlines? I really hope there will be a soundtrack for this show because I can already tell that I will need it.

A new vampire has decided he wants to take over the world, and of course, there’s a Belmont who is ready to stop him. Enter Richter, a descendant of Trevor Belmont and father of Simon Belmont, in a new adventure that takes place nearly 300  years after the first Netflix animation series and will take place during the French Revolution. But this is more than just about a job. This is personal, as the vampire that Richter is hunting is also the same person who killed his mother so many years ago. Richter is pissed, and he’s going to be bringing the pain. He won’t be alone either, as he’ll meet up with his descendant and adopted sister, Maria Renard, as well as Anette, Tera, and Edward Bluemel, all of whom have a score to settle.

But seriously, I really want to know who that HOT black vampire chick is, and you think she’ll give me her number? What? Suck me dry? Well, I can’t say if I’d enjoy that; we are a Teen-rated outlet, after all.

Castlevania: Nocturne premieres on the streamer on September 28.
