With Armored Core 6 releasing in about a week, it seems PlayStation has the marketing rights, at least in Japan, and is set to host a special briefing tomorrow, August 18th, 2023. This event will be live-streamed on the PlayStation Japan YouTube channel at 7:30 PM JST / 3:30 AM PDT /. 6:30 AM EDT.
According to the YouTube page, this event will feature several of the Armored Core 6 development team, producer Yasutaka Ogura, director Yu Yamamura, and MC talent Hatsune Matsushima. While the page doesn’t go into much detail, it’s safe to assume we’ll get more details about the game, possibly the story, and even more gameplay information.
I hope we get more information, such as if the game will add HOTAS and Ultrawide monitor support. So far, there hasn’t been a Fromsoftware game that has supported UW monitors and required mods to add the feature, so I’m hoping this will be the first.
Armored Core 6 will be available for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on August 25th, 2023.
