Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis Launching in Early September

By Andrew AgressAugust 10, 2023
Final Fantasy 7 Ever Crisis

The hotly anticipated mobile game Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis will launch on September 7th. Arriving for iOS and Android, the game serves as a retelling of events in the Final Fantasy VII universe. Players can pre-register via the App Store for iOS and Google Play for Android.

Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis includes versions of the original Final Fantasy VII and prequel Crisis Core. The two games are paired down narratively, but do include some scenes from the new remakes and new side stories as well.

These versions of the games feature turn-based active time combat and other recurring elements such as summons, abilities, and limit breaks. Additionally, they incorporate auto mode and battle speed mechanics for those who want them. Ever Crisis will also feature co-op multiplayer, a first for any version of Final Fantasy VII.

Release Date Announcement!

FINAL FANTASY VII EVER CRISIS will be officially released on iOS and Android on September 7 2023! Don't forget to pre-register now!

Ahead of the release date for the game, players can pre-register here. Currently, Ever Crisis has seen over 1 million pre-registrations. This means that players will start with extra rewards, including crystals, draw tickets, and Zweihander, a recurring greatsword in the series. If 1.5 million players pre-register, they’ll get a gear ticket for a unique piece of gear for Aerith, Cloud, and Tifa.

Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis should tide players over ahead of the much-anticipated release of Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth early in 2024. Rebirth will serve as the sequel to 2020’s Final Fantasy VII Remake and as the middle part of the remake trilogy.

A big fan of Final Fantasy VII, Uncharted, and Metal Gear Solid, Andrew loves great stories and any and all things horror flavored. He also works in the world of interactive theater, its own kind of gaming. Andrew gets his powers from listening to indie folk music and drinking aloe water.
