New Mortal Kombat 1 Characters Revealed at SDCC 2023

During SDCC 2023, Netherealm hosted a panel for Mortal Kombat 1 and revealed lots of new information. Three new characters have been revealed as playable characters, Li Mei, Tanya, and Baraka, and have been showcased in a new trailer.

Alongside those characters was the official reveal of the first Kombat Pack DLC for Mortal Kombat 1, which contains several other playable characters.

Three of those are returning Mortal Kombat characters, Quan Chi, Ermac, and Takeda Takahashi. While the other three are new to the series and are from various Warner Bros. properties, including Peacemaker, Omni-Man, and Homelander. You may recall that the latter was leaked months ago.

  • Peacemaker (Based on DC’s The Suicide Squad film & Peacemaker series on Max)
  • Omni-Man (Based on the original comic book & animated television series Invincible)
  • Homelander* (Based on the hit series The Boys)
  • Jean-Claude Van Damme (Johnny Cage character skin featuring voice & likeness of famed actor & martial artist)

Ferra, Johnny Cage, Khameleon, Mavado & Tremor are also joining the game as Kameo Fighters.
