Alan Wake II looks freaking amazing in this first gameplay look

We’re still early in during the 2023 Summer Game Fest, and now we’ve gotten a taste of the upcoming supernatural follow-up, Alan Wake II. In this gameplay look, we see Saga Anderson, the co-protagonist and second playable character of Alan Wake II, in action.

While the gameplay was short, I got vibes from Remedy’s past title, Control, especially with the gunplay. I wish the gameplay was a bit longer, but at this point, I’ll take what we can get.

While the first Alan Wake an amazing attempt at horror survival and suspense from Remedy, since then, the developer has gone on to craft the masterpiece that is Control and several of its DLCs. With everything that the developer has learned since Control and the original Alan Wake, I’m looking forward to seeing what they have instead for us in the sequel.

Alan Wake 2 will be released on October 17, 2023, for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Epic Games Store), but as a digital-only game as it won’t be available on disc.
