Patricia Summersett Confirms Return As Zelda For Tears of the Kingdom

We’re less than two weeks away from the arrival of The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, and I’m sure many of you are truly counting down the days until the game is in your hands and on your Nintendo Switch. The game already has plenty of hype thanks to the awesome recent trailer, the previews that were unveiled last week, and the Nintendo Switch OLED that is available for purchase. However, if you need further proof of the game’s epicness, you need only look to Patricia Summersett.

As you may recall, Patricia Summersett was the voice of Zelda in Breath of the Wild and the Age of Calamity spinoff. She brought a strong, smart, yet vulnerable approach to Zelda, and many loved her performance in those games. Sure enough, Nintendo brought her back for Tears of the Kingdom, and she made the confirmation announcement on Twitter and gushed about the franchise and how she went from an “80s baby” to the princess of Hyrule. Check it out below, and get ready for her performance on May 12th!

I’ve been given the thumbs up by Nintendo to confirm that I am reprising my role as Princess Zelda in Legend of #Zelda: #TearsoftheKingdom.
I’m obviously beyond thrilled to be back (Thank you Nintendo) and looking forward to May 12th! 🧝🏼‍♀️🐸 pic.twitter.com/FDizUzi3Gp
