Nintendo Switch Passes 125 Million Units Sold

The Nintendo Switch, up until very recently, has been the hottest thing on the video game console market. Its sales continue to boggle the minds of gamers and critics, and The Big N isn’t slowing down, as they have a big lineup of titles planned for 2023. However, while we await a certain big-name title, Nintendo has dropped some financial information about the Switch, and while things are still going well, you can see a slowdown approaching.

According to them, the Nintendo Switch has now sold over 125 million units. That’s as of the end of March 2023. The key thing to note here is that at the end of 2022, they had over 122 million units sold. That means they basically sold a million a month to start 2023. While that’s not bad, it’s not near the numbers that the Switch had previously.

The reason for this slowdown is simple, most people that want a Switch have a Switch. Even Nintendo has realized the “end times” are upon us and has lowered their goals for the new fiscal year to 15 million units sold, and even THEY say that’s a stretch.

Still, the Switch has plenty to offer new and veteran gamers. So don’t count it out yet.
