Alan Wake 2 gets an October 17 release date, will be a digital-only title

While we already knew that Remedy was working on Alan Wake 2, during the PlayStation Showcase, we got another look at the upcoming horror title, and it looks amazing. We also got a look at a new playable character, Saga Anderson, who will be working alongside Alan Wake.

While the first Alan Wake an amazing attempt at horror survival and suspense from Remedy, since then, the developer has gone on to craft the masterpiece that is Control and several of its DLCs. With everything that the developer has learned since Control and the original Alan Wake, I’m looking forward to seeing what they have instead for us in the sequel.

Now for some bad news; Alan Wake 2 is a digital-only title and will be priced at $59.99 (standard) / $79.99 (deluxe) for the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions and $49.99 (standard) / $69.99 (deluxe) for the PC.

The deluxe edition includes the following;

  • Alan Wake 2 base game
  • Expansion Pass (Night Springs Expansion, Lake House Expansion)
  • Nordic Shotgun Skin for Saga
  • Crimson Windbreaker for Saga
  • Celebrity Suit for Alan
  • Parliament Shotgun Skin for Alan
  • Lantern Charm for Saga

The publisher, Epic Games Publishing, currently has no plans to release a physical edition of Alan Wake 2 as of now.

Alan Wake 2 will be released on October 17, 2023, for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Epic Games Store).
