Tower of Fantasy Grand Sea Expansion Details

By Scott AdamsMarch 23, 2023

A new expansion is set to release for Tower of Fantasy on March 30th, 2023. This expansion is known as the Grand Sea expansion. Before the update in March hits, the game currently has 25 Simulacrum in the game to date. This means 25 playable characters.

The Grand Sea expansion is broken up into three main areas in Tower of Fantasy. The first part is the island overseeing the Grand Sea. There are several places you can be at on the Island before you go further down regarding the actual Grand Sea water areas. The Island generally covers everything above the water in terms of rocks and crevices. The second area in the Grand Sea is Innars city. This is a submerged city that is under the sea. That’s right, Tower of Fantasy is introducing underwater physics in movement and vehicles to explore underwater areas. The last area is the Dragon Breath Volcano area. When you go so far down in the water you see molten lava areas. You will need some sort of protection from the heat to traverse the Volcano areas safely.

With these areas in Tower of Fantasy being underwater, there are some changes to how combat will play out. Elements will affect the enemies differently, with fire elements being weaker as a big one. Ice elements will freeze enemies, and other elements will affect the landscape differently so be sure to experiment.

Simulacrum

Alongside some new areas in this new update, there are some new playable Simulacrum we will get to see being introduced. The first one was already debuted on the Tower of Fantasy Twitter earlier this week with Lan

Two more Simulacrums were revealed to us. The first is Icarus, a boy with frost yo-yos as his weapon. He is known to be rebellious and not the biggest fan of authority. The second is Fiona. Fiona has dual blades that are the Astral element. She is the head of Innars City and is usually the go-to for crisis management inside the city.

World Bosses

With each new area in Tower of Fantasy, you can expect some new world bosses. We have gotten to see two new ones being announced for the Grand Sea Expansion.

The first world boss being added is the Abyssant Scylla. They will change elements based on the Drumhead that they hit making you have to have a variety of weapon elements to use at your disposal. The second world boss added to Tower of Fantasy is Abyssant Haboela. Haboela is a giant behemoth in the Volcano area, it relies on its size to deal massive damage to your character.

Tower of Fantasy’s Grand Sea Expansion will be released on March 30th, 2023. When asked about when this specific expansion was planned to be created, Level Infinite responded “pretty shortly after the launch of the game”. Here is seeing what else Tower of Fantasy has on the horizon. If this was early after the launch, then that means there must be much more in store for the future.
