New Gameplay Abilities Coming In Tears Of The Kingdom?

By Todd BlackMarch 21, 2023
The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Review, Nintendo Direct

If you’ve been watching the clock, you’ll know we’re inching closer to the release of Legend of Zelda Tears Of The Kingdom. The May 12th release date can’t come soon enough in some people’s eyes, and any tease we get is welcome. To that end, producer Eiji Aonuma was at the Famitsu Awards where the game won “Most Anticipated Game.” That’s not a surprise, given all the hype that is around it. But he didn’t stop with just accepting the award.

Instead, he gave a little tease about what gamers can do in the title:

“Furthermore, the player’s free imagination will be filled with new gameplay that will bring about changes to the game world.”

That’s a very interesting way of defining it, and many are going to speculate about whether this is due to Link’s new arm, the Shiekah Slate, or something else in the game. I guess we’ll have to wait until the game gets released before all the questions are answered.

Nintendo’s The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom release date is May 12, 2023.
