Before the MCU, the Guardians of the Galaxy were only known by those who had a “deep knowledge” of Marvel Comics. Then, thanks to James Gunn, they’re now one of the most well-known groups in the medium. However, all good things must come to an end. With Gunn heading up the DCU now, he has one last adventure for his “bunch of A-holes,” and he saved the most emotional journey for last. A new trailer dropped during the Super Bowl for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3. It highlighted the arrival of the High Evolutionary, the birth of Rocket Raccoon, the tension between Star-Lord and the “out of time” Gamora, and more.
Moreover, the trailer HEAVILY emphasizes that some of the team aren’t going to make it through the journey. Especially with other threats like Adam Warlock barreling down on them. We’ll find out this May.
