Four Albums from Neon Genesis Evangelion Available January 27

Milan Records will release four albums of music from the massively popular NEON GENESIS EVANGELION anime series and films on Friday, January 27. Available to stream for the first time ever outside of Asia, the release includes music by acclaimed composer Shiro SAGISU and more from all 26 episodes of the original anime series that debuted in 1995, as well as music from two films in the franchise, Neon Genesis Evangelion: Death and Rebirth and THE END OF EVANGELION. The four-album catalogue showcases the defining sound of Evangelion created by Shiro SAGISU, whose score ranges from the more classic orchestral pieces to a genre-fluid blend of influences and genres.

In addition to Shiro SAGISU’s iconic score music, the albums also include fan-favorite themes from the franchise including opening and ending themes by Yoko Takahashi, “The Cruel Angel’s Thesis” and “Mugen Houyou.” Takahashi’s theme for Neon Genesis Evangelion: Death and Rebirth, “Soul’s Refrain,” is also featured on the album, as well as LOREN&MASH’s theme to THE END OF EVANGELION, “THANATOS-IF I CAN’T BE YOURS-.”
