Triangle Strategy Has Passed 1 Million Units Sold

By Todd BlackDecember 21, 2022
Triangle Strategy

Triangle Strategy was the latest 2D-HD title from Team Asano. They’re the group at Square Enix who has made Octopath Traveler, Bravely Default, and did the remake of Live A Live! They’ve been on a roll, and now, they can cement that roll with the latest news about their latest original game. Why? Because it just crossed a major milestone that will please many who played the title.

Triangle Strategy originally came out on the Nintendo Switch (read our review!), but then it got ported over to the PC. That proved to be a great move because between the two systems, the game has crossed 1 million units sold. That was confirmed via an insider who also posted special art from the team commemorating the moment:

Team Asano has really taken off on Switch with consistently great games:

Octopath Traveler: 3m+
Bravely Default 2: 1m+
Triangle Strategy: 1m+
Live A Live: 500k+

Not comparable to Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest or Kingdom Hearts, but with a fraction of the budget. pic.twitter.com/yDTGxUuDHq

As you can see in the follow-up team, Team Asano now has quite a collection of successful titles. Plus, their next title is coming next year via Octopath Traveler II, and many are excited for that as well.
