The Pokemon Anime To End Ash Ketchum’s Adventures

By Todd BlackDecember 16, 2022
Ash Ketchum, Pokemon

It’s been a long time coming, but the story of Ash Ketchum is about to come to an end. After journeying across the Pokemon world in many ways, seeing and battling and helping all sorts of pocket monsters, and making many friends along the way, his journey will end in 2023. This comes right from the team behind the show, who announced that next year there would be a special 11-part series that would showcase the end of Ash’s journey and what would come next for him when the anime ends. But the journey won’t be a basic one.

Instead, as the trailer below shows, some old friends will help him one last time. Misty, Brock, and more are teased for the final episodes, and that’ll make many fans happy. After all, Ash Ketchum has been a part of our lives for many years, so it’s only fair that he gets a proper sendoff.

As for what comes next for the Pokemon anime, we’ll be getting a new series starring two new Pokemon trainers in Liko and Roy starting in April 2023. You can get the first glimpse of them with some of the Gen 9 starters below:

An all-new Pokémon series has been announced!

Join 2 new characters and 3 Paldea starter Pokémon as they adventure through the Pokémon world! Plus, commemorate Ash’s journey with special episodes concluding Pokémon Ultimate Journeys: The Series.

Coming soon in 2023 and beyond! pic.twitter.com/2lrM6W1dgW
