Free Elden Ring Colosseum PVP Update Releases This Week for All Platforms

By Keith MitchellDecember 6, 2022
ELDEN RING _ Free Colosseum Update

Bandai Namco and Fromsoftware have announced that Elden Ring will receive a free PVP update on December 7th, 2022. This update will finally make the colosseums, which players could locate in the lands of Limgrave, Leyndell, and Caelid but weren’t accessible, finally open will open their doors.

This Elden Ring Colosseum update will allow players to engage in 1 vs. 1 duels, team fights (3 vs. 3), and all-out free-for-all battles. It also looks as if spirit ash summons will be available for usage during battle as well. Which does concern me, as some of them are overpowered. Will this also cause a balancing issue for the PVP/PVE? We’ll have to see.

For many, this is the PVP update that they’ve been waiting on, since Elden Ring’s PVP wasn’t as exciting or fun as that from the Dark Souls titles. I’m not saying Elden Ring’s PVP was all bad, but now, we can duke it out in arenas, and maybe, just maybe, there’s an option to spectate those matches as well. Still, for many, this isn’t the PVE update that they’ve been waiting on, and perhaps there’s more content around the corner.

But for those who love PVP battles, this just may be what you’ve been waiting for. Oh, yes, you’ll definitely see me online as well. Just go easy on me, could you?

This update will be available for free on December 7th, 2022, for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
