How To Sell Weapons in Warhammer 40,000: Darktide

By Keith MitchellNovember 28, 2022
Warhammer 40K Darktide Armory-01

Throughout your time with Warhammer 40,000: Darktide, you’ll find that you’ll accumulate many weapons. While some of it may be useful, you’ll notice quickly that your storage space will start to overflow, meaning you’ll need to get rid of those items.

However, this is where it gets tricky. While the hub section of Warhammer 40,000: Darktide does indeed have a store called the Armoury Exchange, where you can purchase new weapons, it doesn’t let you sell back anything you find. So, what’s a person to do with a nearly full back of possibly useless loot?

Now, you’re probably scratching your head right about now, but that’s ok. I’ll break it down for you. Instead of visiting the store while playing the game, you can simply discard the weapons at any time, including when you’re on a mission, by clicking on the Discard option located in your inventory.

How To Sell Weapons in Warhammer 40K: Darktide

  1. Open up your inventory
  2. Click on either of your main weapons.
  3. This will bring up a list of all of the weapons you have available.
  4. Highlight the weapon you no longer want, then click/press the discard button at the bottom of the screen for several seconds.

Doing this will discard the weapon while giving you some in-game currency back for your troubles, and also clearing out your bag space. It’s a win/win. Plus, it will help you reach the higher-end weapons much faster, assuming you have the required level to use them, that is.

Remember that once you discard a weapon, it will be gone forever, so be sure that you highlight the one you really want to get rid of. Hopefully, an option to lock a weapon will be added, so you don’t accidentally get rid of the wrong weapon.

Warhammer 40,000: Darktide releases on November 3oth, 2022, for the Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC (Windows).
