Marvel’s Midnight Suns New Release Date Revealed For PC, Xbox, and PlayStation

Marvel's Midnight Suns

Delay, after delay, it seemed as if Marvel’s Midnight Suns would never get released. However, there’s light at the end of the tunnel, as the title received yet another release date during Disney’s D23. Now, the strategy RPG will be released on December 2nd, 20233, for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Currently, the Switch version release date is still up in the air.

Marvel’s Midnight Suns was revealed in 2021, and was scheduled for a 2022 release. Except it ended up being delayed, multiple times, with the last release date being October 7, 2022. Which, of course, was delayed as Firaxis needed more time to work on the title.

Marvel’s Midnight Suns is a strategy RPG from XCOM developers Firaxis, where players will utilize a card system for combat and upgrades while remaining turn-based, akin to XCOM. Or at least, that’s how the game was initially pitched to us. We don’t know how much the game has changed with the delayed game. If it even changed at all. We also know that Take-Two did confirm last year that the title would not include any pay-to-win mechanics or loot boxes.

In addition to the release date, Marvel’s Midnight Suns Prequel Shorts was announced during the D23 Expo 2022. Marvel’s Midnight Suns Prequel Shorts is a set of five short animated videos that will provide backstory to how Lilith became the Mother of Demons, and how Super Heroes like Blade, Magik, Ghost Rider, and Nico Minoru came together to form the young core of the Midnight Suns.

Animated by Sun Creature Studio and DIGIC Pictures, a short intro has been released. The first video will be released on YouTube on October 31, 2022, with the following videos being released weekly.
