Get Ready For More World Premieres During Gamescom Opening Night Life

By Keith MitchellAugust 17, 2022
Gamescom 2022 Opening Night Live

Gamescom 2022 is about to kick off, and Geoff Keighley has announced he’ll be hosting Gamescom: Opening Night Life or Gamescom: ONL.  On August 23rd, 2022, at 11 AM PT / 2 PM ET, and for two hours, gamers will get to see several world premiere reveals. The event will be hosted on Twitch and YouTube.

I’m looking forward to more The Callisto Protocol gameplay, as I am looking forward to this game. For starters, games such as Sonic Frontiers, High on Life, Return to Monkey Island, Hogwarts Legacy, and The Callisto Protocol will make an appearance with new gameplay being shown. Being a massive Dead Space fan, I simply can’t wait.

Next Tuesday, brand new gameplay from @Callistothegame will debut
during Opening Night Live.@glenschofield is flying all the way to @gamescom to join me LIVE on stage.

I saw a sneak preview of this demo and it's even a step beyond the @summergamefest footage!

There’s a lot more to be revealed, and we have an idea of what, but we’ll just let you find out for yourselves. We could possibly see the reveal of another Street Fighter 6 character, which I know fans of the series are looking forward to. Regardless, we’re going to see 30+ games shown. That’s a lot of games!

We may even fight out about NetherRealm Studios’ next game, which could be either a Mortal Kombat or Injustice. The rumors surrounding both games have been making the rounds for a while. Then we had Ed Boon stating we wouldn’t hear anything regarding a new Mortal Kombat game during EVO 2022, but he didn’t say the game wasn’t coming.

Either way, prepare for two hours of gaming goodness on August 23rd, 2022. I know I am.
