The June NPD data has come out! And as many likely predicted, the Nintendo Switch is on top once again in terms of unit sales! If you’re curious about the distinction, unit sales is what is counted for actual consoles moved and sold during the month. The other metric is that of “dollar sales”, which the Switch lost to the PS5. However! Remember that the PS5 is much more costly than the Switch, and thus, the numbers are a bit skewered.
So far, the Nintendo Switch is the top selling console (unit sales wise) in 2022, so its dominance very much continues. What’s more, in terms of gaming, both Mario Strikers Battle League and Fire Emblem Warriors Three Hopes (read our review!) made it onto the best-selling games of the month list. Hopefully we’ll get more details sales data on them soon.
