Genshin Impact Shows off Sumeru

By William "Shadowz" KokJuly 23, 2022

In the newest spotlight for Genshin Impact, Mihoyo has shown off the newest area of Sumeru. A new location featuring a rainforest that is surrounded by desert. Of course, it all looks beautiful.

Environment Artist Jax Huang explained in detail the environment that is to come with the new update of Sumeru. Detailing the fauna and the life that is in both biomes of the rainforest and desert areas.

Particularly in the desert, it does have the same feel as what you see in real life but with the fantasy Genshin Impact twist on it. What they were going for was a balance between exoticism, fantasy, and realism.

In the forest area, when you first arrive, you will be informed that there will be spirits that only the youth are able to see. Players will be tasked to help out the area and as a reward, be shown off new locations and discover the reasons why part of the forest has withered away.

While in the desert area of Sumeru, you will discover ruins that are active and alcoves that will contain secrets and rewards. You will also see the remains of giant robots littered the desert and forest areas. Who knows what kinds of stories it holds.

Genshin Impact is available on PS4, PS5, PC, iOS, and Android devices.
