Airship Syndicate Is Working on a New 3rd Person Online Action Game

By Keith MitchellJuly 17, 2022
Airship Syndicate + Digital Extremes Partnership Announcement

Airship Syndicate has brought us some amazing games in its relatively short time in the game industry. From Battle Chasers: Nightwar, Darksiders Genesis, and recently, Ruined King: A League of Legends story. Now, the developer has revealed it is working on a new online action game and has partnered with Digital Extremes to bring it to life.

Joe Madureira, the CEO of Airship Syndicate, broke the news regarding this new title and even mentioned the company is really excited about this title and will be its the company’s best game ever. Those are some big words, especially since I’ve enjoyed all of their previous projects. He’s not the only one excited, as more Airship Syndicate staff have also voiced their excitement over this game.

So far, we know that this will be a 3rd person action game, with new original characters, in a brand new world, and a lot more. They haven’t said much else, but given that it will have an online component, I already think this will be something like Dark Souls, or maybe even Remnant from the Ashes. While DE isn’t really to talk about the game, if you pay attention to the trailer below, they’ve teased the game in several locations. Pieces of art, footage of the game, names of characters just out of focus, so you can’t read them. Very sneaky folks, but your tactic worked. I need to know what this game is.

For those wondering, this is NOT Soulframe, another game being developed by Digital Extremes and announced during TennoCon 2022. This is an entirely different game, with more being revealed during 2022 The Game Awards, which takes place on December 9th, 2022. Which means that it will be quite some time until we find out more about this title.

Now, you know me and 3rd person action games — I love them, so I’ll be following whatever the heck this game is and covering it as much as we can.
