Diablo IV launches in 2023, Necromancer revealed as the final class

During the Xbox and Bethesda showcase, Blizzard dropped lots of new information about Diablo IV. A class that had to be purchased for Diablo III, the Necromancer, is the final class revealed for Diablo IV. This brings the total number of classes to five; Barbarian, Sorceress, Rogue, Druid, and the Necromancer.

Necromancers are cunning summoners that conjure vengeful hordes of the undead. Their Essence flows into three powerful bastions of Bone, Blood, or Shadow to bring low their enemies. This class will also feature new gameplay mechanics that will separate this class from that of Diablo IV.

Diablo IV will feature cross-play across all platforms, meaning all gamers will be able to party with or fight against those on Xbox, PlayStation, or PC.

It also seems that Diablo IV is coming to PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, as reported earlier. But Blizzard has also mentioned the PS4 and Xbox One. Which still doesn’t appear to be listed on the Diablo IV website. It is, however, mentioned on Blizzard’s press release page.

Blizzard Entertainment announced today that Diablo® IV, the next generation installment in the genre-defining series, is debuting in 2023. Blizzard also announced that Diablo IV is coming to Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation®5, alongside versions for Windows® PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation®4, with cross-play and cross-progression enabled for all platforms.

The world of Sanctuary will be the largest it has ever been in a Diablo game. Featuring over 140 dungeons, including much harder dungeons called nightmare dungeons. Players will find themselves exploring and battling for hours on end.

Diablo IV’s version of Sanctuary is massive, and every inch is rife with opportunity for adventure. Character customization in the game is richer and more extensive than ever, and players will be able to let their curiosity (and perhaps foolishness) guide them through over 140 dungeons and dozens of side quests in their pursuit of victory over Lilith’s forces . . . and ever-more-powerful gear. Mighty world bosses pose added challenge throughout Sanctuary, encouraging players to team up with others they encounter on their journeys to defeat them and reap their treasures. And for the first time, players can forever alter the world around them by conquering and converting corrupted Strongholds into friendly outposts.

Lastly, Blizzard has confirmed that Diablo IV will be released for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, in 2023, Blizzard confirmed today.
