‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ is at least Two Hours Long

By Keith MitchellMay 24, 2022
Thor Love and Thunder second trailer

If you’re tired of Marvel Cinematic Universe movies hitting and surpassing the two-hour mark, you’re not going to be thrilled that ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ is at least two hours long. I hope many of you hit the restrooms before sitting down. You might want to take it easy on the soda while you’re at it

Thor actor, Chris Hemsworth, took to Instagram to promote the upcoming title and dropped the news regarding the film’s length. According to Chris, “On July 8th we’ll be giving you a full two hours of this beautiful madness.” Of course, it could be just under or over two hours, as we don’t have the official runtime as of yet.

As far as MCU movies go, this wouldn’t be the first time we’ve been treated to a two-hour movie or even those that surpass that limit.  The most recently ‘Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness’ film had a runtime of 126 minutes, ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ at 148 minutes, and who can forget the longest MCU movie yet, with ‘Avengers: Endgame’ keeping us all seated for 181 minutes!

In Thor: Love and Thunder, we’ll see the return of Odinson, who no longer has possession of Mjolnir, the debut of Jane Foster’s Thor, and the introduction of perhaps the baddest MCU villain (and total beast in the comics), Gorr the God Butcher.

Marvel Studios’ Thor: Love and Thunder arrives in theaters on July 8, 2022. Ticket sales haven’t started as of yet.
