State of Play June 2022 Announced; Focus on 3rd Party and PSVR 2 Titles

By Keith MitchellMay 27, 2022
State of Play June 2nd 2022

Well, the rumors were right on the money, and PlayStation has revealed it will host a State of Play, next month. This event will take place on June 2nd, 2022, at 3 PM PT / 6 PM ET, and will be hosted on both Twitch and YouTube.

Now, before you get excited about seeing updates or even a release date for God of War: Ragnarok, you may want to temper those expectations. PlayStation has stated that this State of Play will be used to reveal upcoming 3rd party titles, as well as a look at several in-development games for the PlayStation VR2.

So far, a handful of titles for the PlayStation VR2 have been revealed, including the Horizon Zero Dawn spin-off, Horizon: Call of the Mountain. However, during the recent Sony’s 2022 Business Segment Briefings, Sony confirmed that the  PlayStation VR2 set will launch with more than 20 major 1st and 3rd party titles.

We still don’t have a release date or price for the PlayStation VR2. Maybe, we’ll find out more about that bit during the State of Play.
