Pokemon Journeys Art Reveals Stacked “Master Class”

By Todd BlackMay 6, 2022
Pokemon Journeys

In Pokemon Journeys, Ash Ketchum’s newest arc focuses on the World Coronation Series. In it, trainers of the series battle one another and grow in rank as they do. The higher the rank, the better the “class” they enter. The final 8 at the top of the rankings are in the “Master Class”, and Ash has been striving to do that for some time. While Pokemon Master Journeys is still a bit behind here in the US, in Japan, the Master Class has already been set, and the first piece of art showcasing the best trainers in the Pokemon world has been revealed.

As you can see below, Ash is going to have some super tough foes to face. Including one old friend in Iris, one former rival in Alain (whom he lost to in the finals of the Kalos League), one super-powerful trainer in Steven (who was a former champion in the games), and then FOUR league champs via Lance (Kanto), Diantha (Kalos), Leon (Galar) and Cynthia (Sinnoh).

This is in many ways is a “fan selection” of trainers and characters from past regions. And many surprises are within (such as Iris and Alain). So now the question is, who does Ash face on his path to Leon? It’s hard to say, but the battles in this group are no doubt going to be awesome!
