‘Stranger Things 4’ Vol. 1 Has a New Trailer and Things Get Even Stranger

By Sara Roncero-MenendezApril 12, 2022

Few seasons of television get as much hype as Stranger Things 4, a season so big, they had to split it into two parts. And looking at the trailer, it’s no wonder because it looks like our favorite characters are in for one hell of the ride.

There’s so much happening in this trailer, it’s hard to know where to start. Mike goes to visit Eleven and Will in California, which starts out fine until the U.S. government comes to take Eleven away as the Upside Down becomes more active. Meanwhile, in Hawkins, there’s some crazy things afoot, with a clock randomly appearing in the high school, Max floating in mid-air at her brother’s grave, and a creepy old house that may be a portal. Not to mention Hopper fighting monsters from his USSR prison with make-shift weapons. Also, is that a dude playing electric guitar in the middle of the Upside Down? Not to mention this terrifying child who may, or may not, be Eleven:

This trailer leaves us with more questions than answers: who is the Upside Down monster man? Why is the clock important? Why do the group need to go to the otherworld? Who is the mysterious new Dungeons and Dragons DM? Does Eleven really not have her powers anymore?

All we can say is, we’ll see you on the other side.

Stranger Things 4 Vol.1 is set to premiere on Netflix on May 27, 2022.

A reporter by trade, Sara is a lover of horror, sci-fi, and all things pop culture. From indies to classics to even the strangest schlock, all movies and TV shows are fair game. She believes Batman is the most fascinating superhero, and that Silent Hill is one of the best horror franchises ever made (as long as you don't count the movies). Fun Fact: The only movie Sara will not rewatch is The Room -- once was more than enough.
