Yuzo Koshiro To Work On Yacht Club Games’ Mina the Hollower

Mina the Hollower

Yacht Club Games has just announced that Yuzo Koshiro will be a guest composer on the upcoming game, Mina the Hollower.

Announced just a few weeks ago by Yacht Club Games on G4TV, the title has been a crowdfunding smashing success and has surpassed its original funding request. Now, we’re finding out that Yuzo Koshiro will be one of the composers for the game? Well, that’s just fantastic news if you ask me.

“I am very happy to announce that I am working with Yacht Club Games and Mina the Hollower’s main composer, Jake Kaufman, on songs for the game’s soundtrack. This exciting collaboration is thanks to all the backers of Mina the Hollower and the fans of my work as well. Thank you everyone!” — stated Yuzi Koshiro

Anyone who has played video games in the past few decades will undoubtedly know about Yuzo Koshiro. From Streets of Rage, Castlevania, The Revenge of Shinobi, Super Smash Bros., just to name a few. This man is widely renowned and has created some fantastic musical tracks, many of which most of us still listen to. In my case, daily. This soundtrack for Mina the Hollower is going to be crazy good with both Yuzo Koshiro and Jake Kaufman, who’s no slouch either, hammering out the tunes.

As for Mina the Hollower, the game is well in development, though it won’t be ready until 2023. That’s if there aren’t any delays thanks to a particular pandemic. The Kickstarter campaign is still ongoing if you’re interested in tossing in a few dollars to help the funding. Currently, it’s passed 1,000,000 dollars so far, tripling the original crowdfunding goal. Head on over to the Kickstarter, there are just 48 hours to go, and I’m sure that’s plenty of time to surpass another hundred thousand or so. Don’t you worry about me. I pledged enough — I wanted that Mina the Hollower plushie for my office.

If you were to ask your favorite game musician who their favorite artists are, chances are, you'd hear @YuzoKoshiro over & over again. He’s a living legend and we’re beyond humbled to announce he's contributing two tracks to #MinaTheHollower.
