New LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Trailer Is All About The Dark Side

A new trailer for the upcoming LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga was shown during yesterday’s Future Games Show.

The theme of this new trailer was all about the dark side of things, as referenced by its name “Darkness Rises”. Here, we had a chance to see many Star War villains such as Jango Fett, Emperor Palpatine, Captain Phasma, Darth Vader, and many others. This is a lengthy trailer and provides a good look at some critical moments from the Star Wars movies, moments that any Star Wars fan will recognize.

There are definitely some dark moments in this trailer, but how dark can things be in a LEGO game. Instead of being depressing, they end up as hilarious moments and are pulled off with the humor that the LEGO games are known for.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will span across all nine of Star Wars Skywalker Saga films. According to Traveller’s Tales, this is the company’s biggest LEGO game to date. And judging from the gameplay overview, it looks like it.  Players will be able to start in whichever part of the saga they wish to and complete them in whichever order they want. The gameplay will consist of lightsaber battles, force moves, blasters, space battles, and more. Levels will also include multiple paths, which should add to the exploration. Each section will also have five story missions to play, meaning the game will have 45 levels to play through. Players can also unlock and choose from over 300 characters, the most ever in a LEGO Star Wars game.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga releasing on April 5th, 2022 for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC.
