Shin Megami Tensei V Sells Over 800K Copies

By William "Shadowz" KokJanuary 3, 2022

Not bad for the latest entry of Shin Megami Tensei V.

The latest NPD sales number was released for the end of December 2021 and it shows that Shin Megami Tensei V sold 800,000 units of the game since its release back on November 12. This was reported on Famitsu in which they reported sales growth since its initial week sales of 140,000 units. Also reported from SEGA Management meeting back in December, noting that the marketing for the game was successful and overall good performance since release.

Also to celebrate the new year of 2022 and commemoration of the sales of Shin Megami Tensei V,  ATLUS has unveiled special artwork of Byakko and Jack Frost to celebrate the new year. Also nice to note is that this year is the year of the Tiger, so it makes sense for it to feature Byakko.

Shin Megami Tensei V is out now for Nintendo Switch.
