EA confirms Respawn is working on three new Star Wars games

By Scott AdamsJanuary 25, 2022

For those of us who have played Star Wars Fallen Order, we loved the new take on the universe done by Respawn Entertainment and exploring it as Cal. Today EA has revealed that it looks like Respawn is not finished with the Star Wars universe. Looking at the article we get to actually see the types of games that are going to be worked on.

As most were expecting EA wants a sequel to the Star Wars Fallen Order game and that is the first one being mentioned is going to be done with the same team led by the same director. As long as EA doesn’t try to include its terrible history of adding in pointless microtransactions, this could be a welcome entry into the new series.

The next two games are brand new with only details being their genre of game. The second game being done in the project is an FPS shooter done in the Star Wars universe. This particular game is led by Peter Hirschmann. Peter Hirschmann has worked on the Medal of Honor games in various roles. He seems to know a bit about the FPS genre. Though he has also worked on the Star Wars Empire at War game which was an RTS game for the PC years ago. It looks like he will get to use both his knowledge of FPS and his passion for Star Wars.

The third game is one I am most excited about.  While we don’t know anything about it, it will be an RTS title, led by the new studio Bit Reactor. Specifically, this game will be led by Greg Foerstch. He has been a big part of the art and direction of the Civilization series. I was always a big fan of the Galactic Battlegrounds games and the Empire at War game. So I am excited to see the direction that we get from those who have helped with the Civilization games

There you have it! Three Star Wars games coming from EA and Respawn. Which ones are you looking forward to? Sound off in the comments!
