Black Friday Gave Nintendo Switch Its Biggest Sales Week In The UK

The Nintendo Switch is the biggest console around right now, even with the worldwide chip shortages going and mucking things up in the large-scale for all systems. Consistently, it has done very well during the Black Friday sales week, and this year is no exception, especially in the UK.

Industry insider Christopher Dring noted that the Nintendo Switch dominated console sales, with a key bundle doing very well in the UK. What’s more, they were so far ahead that he described the Xbox Series S as a “distant second” during that week.

Last week was the biggest sales week ever for Nintendo Switch in the UK. Absolute dominant display. The Switch + Mario Kart 8 +3 Months Online bundle stole the show over Black Friday. Xbox Series S was in (a very distant) second place

Furthermore, he noted that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe was the best-selling Switch game of that week. Showing that title still very much has legs. We’ll hopefully hear the US and Japan numbers for Black Friday soon, and if they match what the UK did, that’s a big week of sales for Switch.
